About this policy
This policy explains how Silver Tongue Contracting handles personal information through silvertonguecontracting.com and related inquiries. Client projects and separately operated applications may have their own privacy notices and contractual data-handling terms.
Information we collect
- Inquiries and support: your name, email address, and the details you send us. You may also provide your phone number, company, service interests, timeline, budget, referral source, and attachments.
- Portfolio requests: the email address you provide and the page or source associated with your request.
- Call bookings: when you book a call on our booking page, your name, email address, phone number, the time you chose and your time zone, and, if you give them, your company and what you'd like to discuss. We create the call on our Google Calendar with a Google Meet link and add you as a guest, so Google sends you the invitation. We use your phone number only to reach you about that call, for example if you can't join.
- Messages: details you share when contacting us by email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or social media.
- Technical records: hosting logs may include your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and access times. Application logs record submission outcomes and email delivery information for troubleshooting; new logs do not include message bodies. Older logs may contain inquiry details.
Please share only what is needed for your request. Do not send passwords, access tokens, payment card details, or sensitive personal records through public forms or ordinary email.
How we use information
We use the information to respond to inquiries, send requested portfolio materials, arrange meetings, scope and deliver agreed work, provide support, and maintain business records. We also use technical records to operate the website, investigate delivery problems, and address misuse.
A website inquiry lets us follow up about that inquiry. It does not require you to purchase a service.
Job applicants
When you apply through our careers page, we collect the details on the form: your name, contact details and phone numbers, country and time zone, the roles you apply for and your experience, availability and expected pay, your computer and internet setup, and the files you upload, such as your resume, a voice introduction and certificates.
We use this to consider you for current and future roles with our clients and the employers in our network. By applying, you agree that we may share your application, resume and voice introduction with them so they can consider you and invite you to apply. Your application is stored on our server and in our Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive and Google Sheets), where our HR team reviews it.
We keep applications on file for 12 months. You can renew yours for another 12 months, after which it is archived and no longer considered for new roles. You can update or withdraw your application at any time using the private link in the emails we send you. When you withdraw, we remove you from our talent pool straight away and delete your files and answers after 30 days. Server backups made before that date may keep a copy for up to 14 more days.
Your private link works like a password: anyone who has it can see and change your application, so please don't share it. If you lose it, you can request a new one from the careers page, and older links stop working.
Who sees your application. When you apply to a role listed by an employer, that employer and the colleagues they add to their account can see your application, resume, voice introduction and contact details. If an employer closes a role you applied to, they may send you a short email saying you weren’t selected. Employers agree to use applicant details only to recruit for their roles. Applications made before 28 September 2026 are shared with employers only when you apply to their role, unless you had turned on the old “Let employers find me” option.
Job alerts, saved searches and employers you follow. If you choose job alerts, save a search on the Jobs page or follow an employer, we keep that choice and email you when a matching role opens, in one email a day. Every alert has a link to change your alerts or unsubscribe, and you can change them from your private page. Applications that haven't been updated for 90 days receive a reminder to check they are still current.
Where your application is. Your private page shows each job you applied for and how far it has got: when the hiring team opened it, whether you were shortlisted, your interview and the decision. Notes the hiring team writes about you are never shown to you or to other employers.
Skills tests. If you take a skills test, we keep your answers, when you took it and your result. Your result shows on your application to the employers who can see it. For written English, your short email is read and marked by Silver Tongue, which may use automated tools to help, and Silver Tongue’s hiring team can see what you wrote.
Interviews, offers and references. If an employer invites you to an interview, we keep the time you choose and any answers you give first, and email both of you a calendar invitation and reminders. If you receive an offer, we keep its details, the letter and your reply. If an employer asks for references, the names and email addresses you give for your referees are used only to send them a short form, and their answers go to that employer’s hiring team. Referees can choose not to answer.
The pay guide. Our public pay guide shows what jobs pay in Trinidad and Tobago. It uses the pay on jobs posted here and, only if you tick the box on the careers form or say yes on your private page, your expected pay. It shows middle figures and ranges for groups of at least ten jobs or ten people, never anyone’s name or own figure. You can change your answer by editing your application.
Employers
When you post a role on our Hire Talent page, we collect your company and contact details and the details of the role. We use them to review and publish your listing, send you applicants, and contact you about your account. Every listing shows your company name, and your logo if you add one.
Your company page. Employers with a job on the site have a public company page with the details they choose to add, their open jobs, and figures from our records such as how many people they hired here and how quickly they usually reply. Page text is read by our staff before it goes live.
Business registration. If you upload your business registration for the Verified employer mark, we keep the documents on our server, where only our staff can open them. Silver Tongue checks them against your company details, with the help of automated document review, and may email you from contact@silvertonguecontracting.com if something is missing.
Results for your jobs. We count how many times each job’s page is viewed on our own server, without cookies and without recording who viewed it, and show the totals to the employer.
Reports. Anyone can report an employer from its page. We keep the report, and the email address if the person gives one, to look into it.
You may use applicant details only to recruit for your own roles, and you may not share them outside your hiring team.
Service providers and external links
Website hosting and email providers process information needed to operate this site and our communications. Contact submissions and attachments are delivered to our business inbox using Google’s Gmail service; portfolio requests and booking emails also use this service, and booked calls are kept on Google Calendar with Google Meet links.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact, careers and portfolio forms from automated abuse. Your browser shares technical verification information with Cloudflare. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
The site loads Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google and may send technical information such as your IP address and browser details. If you contact us through WhatsApp or social platforms, the information you submit is also handled under that provider’s privacy policy.
See Google’s Privacy Policy. External sites and client applications are responsible for their own practices.
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of our services.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not currently use advertising trackers or a dedicated visitor analytics service. If you start a careers application, your answers (not your files) are saved in your own browser so you can finish later; they are removed when you submit, and you can clear them with “Start over”. Your browser may cache website files, and older visits may have left an offline website cache.
Your country setting. Some of our services are offered only in Trinidad and Tobago, so the site remembers which country you’re browsing from in a cookie called stc_country, kept in your browser for one year. On your first visit we look up the country your IP address belongs to, using the IP to Country Lite database by DB-IP (licensed under CC BY 4.0) on our own server. We don’t store your IP address for this, and the cookie holds only a two-letter country code. You can change it at any time with the country button at the bottom of every page.
You can manage cookies and clear cached site data in your browser settings. Blocking third-party resources may affect fonts or form verification; you can still contact us by email.
Retention and security
Information may remain in our correspondence, business records, service logs, and backups. We keep it as needed to handle requests, perform agreed work, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no online transmission or storage method is completely secure. If a project requires confidential files or system access, contact us to arrange an appropriate transfer method.
Your choices and requests
You can choose not to provide optional information. To ask about information we hold, request access, correction or deletion, or ask us to stop nonessential follow-up, email contact@silvertonguecontracting.com with the subject “Privacy request”.
Tell us which inquiry, email address, or project your request concerns. We may need to verify your identity. Available rights and any limits depend on applicable law; some records may need to be retained for legal or contractual reasons. If we handle information on behalf of a client, we may direct the request to that client.
Our website is intended for business audiences, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review it.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
